Re-Animating Pecha Kucha Night Sunshine Coast

Re-Animating Pecha Kucha Night Sunshine Coast

The Creative Alliance, Sunshine Coast is re-animating Pecha Kucha Night in February 2016. The theme for the night is Animate this can be about animating spaces, objects, images, communities and lives.

The plan is for the first event to be in Nambour at the Old Ambulance Arts Centre. We envisage having a range of different presenters from across the creative sector and beyond.

The format for the presentation is 20 slides each shown for 20 seconds each, and they’re transition automatically, so each presentation is only 6 minutes, 40 seconds in total. (We have a template set up that you can just drop your images in to or you can create your own). It’s a very visual presentation format and you get to speak to the slides as they’re are shown. The format was developed in Japan is now used in around 800 centres around the world. Have a look on the global website for more info and examples of presentations.http://www.pecha-kucha.org/

If you are interested in presenting we can support you through the process and provide more information. To start with let us know if you are interested in presenting and send us a blurb about yourself and what you might present about (up to 200 words). Let us know by December 20 if you like to be involved. Email your blurb tosuedavis565@gmail.com . If you need more information call Sue on 041 8763428.
